Saints and the fort
Shah Rukn-e-Alam’s tomb (1320–24) is the three-tiered red-brick octagon on the fort: battered Tughluq walls, eight corner towers, dark shisham beams, blue-and-white Multani tile, a white dome. Bahauddin Zakariya’s shrine sits nearby. Musa Pak is inside Pak Gate. Urs is not a festival imported for tourists — it is the city’s calendar. Over a hundred thousand people still walk for Rukn-e-Alam.
